Spawning Nerksawl
- Nerksawl PHs are the watchers and Ancient cyclops. Killing one of these has a chance to spawn Nerk, in as little as 5 minutes. These PHs spawn from three different spawn locations, marked by floating 'orbs' (looks like a spark). 10 minutes after the placeholder is killed, you get an orb. Normally, the orb is up for 3 minutes, then a placeholder spawns.
Occassionally a placeholder will spawn at the 10 minute mark at any one of the three spawn locations. An orb also spawns at the same time, usually at a different location. If the placeholder that spawns at 10 minutes isn't killed before the 13 minute mark, the orb will disappear without spawning anything.
For that reason, the ideal Nerksawl spawning technique involves 3 people, each camping the three spawn locations and each paying attention on the 10 minute mark (or 13 minutes if no premature spawn while waiting for the orb to spawn one).
Orb locations:
Tree: 29575, -1282,2546
Wall: -58884,32412,9708 (small wyverns around)
Rocks: 10629,77890,1363 (flying 'piercers' around)
STRAT
■Randomly does a ground stomp that makes all players within range feign death
■Need a stance pusher
■Disciples are helpful due to the mana-drain
■Every 25% he wipes his hate.
■Randomly will do a MP drain with a range of 50m for 30s. This is a debuff (posted where the bard song is on your screen). Once it is cast, if you get hit with it, you have to wait it out, if you didnt get hit, your clear to enter the fight without fear of losing mana.
■Will go into a Rage stance starting around 50%. Any attacks during this stance will increase his rage focus. This is bad. =) *DOTS that were on before his focus will NOT increase his rage focus*
■Have 2 healers stay at least 50m away so when the MP drain goes off they can run in to keep tanks up. They trade places with the 2 healers that were keeping the tanks up, who go out of range and let MP regen. Healer Swap.
■Every 25%, when his hate wipes, the MA needs to force taunt to give the MT time to build hate. Healers need to be ready to heal the MA when this happens.
■Watch for rage. When DPS Stop is called for ALL attacks stop. To this end pets are discouraged.
■MP regen is very helpful. Bardsongs or Necropets to regen MP are good.
■Main party should consist of 2 tanks, 2 healers, a bard, and probley a rouge to dump hate on MT.
■2nd party should have a tank, 2 healers, bard or necro or MP regen.
■Other MP refresh options would be Arcane Balance, but the MP drain is a 30 sec debuff so it would not be useful till after that. Example a Sorc High Elf could MP up with gather energy then pop arcane ballance to help fill the MP pools of his party. For that reason it might be wise to spread High Elf Sorc's around, or put Sorcs in partys with other high elves that can arcane balance.
