Group Build
- Recommend at least 4 healers, including at least 1 cleric. Must have at least 2 Tanks and a Psi. Groups will position themselves at one of the last large pillars, between the pillar and the wall (this is a safe spot if some of your group members are KoS).
Clearing the Fairies
- These are locked to a single group, once your raid is in position and buffed, group 2 will drop raid and reform as a group. The tanks for each group will then pull fairies to their respective group and kill. You MUST pay attention as upon the fairies will spawn a "corrupted essence" which will AE and really fuck up your group if they are within range, You do not need to click on them, attack them or anything, just move out of range and they will despawn. Psi's can also charm fairies and send them into the avatars to have them killed off. Re-spawn time is 45 minutes so once the first fairy has died, you have 45 minutes to kill the chicken. If a fairy gets too close to Ataraxis, it will heal him. Once the area is clear, group two will drop group and rejoin the raid in prep to engage Ataraxis
Feeds
- When anyone engages the chicken, the first thing it does is put up a purity feed at level one. At level one, it will absorb 10% of incoming damage up to 100,000 damage. Once all that damage is absorbed, the feed moves up to level two, where it absorbs 15% of incoming damage up to 200,000. Process is repeated until it reaches feed 10, which will absorb 50% of damage up to 1,000,000 damage or something like that.
When the chicken isn't engaged, any feeds it has on go up automatically. So what we can do is have anyone with a pet that can survive the chicken long enough engage the chicken so it puts up a feed. Psis can do this with a charmed mob, Necros can do this with their abomination, hell any class can do it with a war golem or moonsu's pendant, especially FD classes. The idea is to get two feeds up close together, wait for them to tick up, then pull the chicken when one feed is at 10 and one is at 9. This significantly lowers the amount of time it takes to do the fight as we avoid having to burn through feeds 1-8. Note that Ataraxis will keep one feed at 10 indefinitely; however the feeds will drop off if a second feed hits 10.
When feed 10 is burned through, instead of going to feed 11 or something, the chicken spawns adds and goes weakened. The chicken takes NO damage when weakened, which lasts up to 15 minutes unless you damage him via rift keeper dude.
The chicken can have multiple feeds up at once; However, only the one at the top of his buff list is 'active'. For example, suppose the chicken has feeds 8, 10, and 1 on it with 8 on top. This means damage is currently being absorbed by the level 8 feed, so when enough damage is done, it will move to level 9 and drop to the bottom of the buff list, and the next feed in line will become 'active'. It's important to realize when feed 10 is active as this is when adds will spawn.
Engaging
- Make sure you HoT the tank right before he pulls, once the aggro'd do not engage Ataraxis until the tank has him properly positioned against the side of the Pillar. Ataraxis has a Acid Raid AE that has a range of 15. unless you Need to be in melee range, stay at least 15 away from him as to not tie up the healers healing AE damage. Ataraxis also puts a Healing Debuff on the Main Tank. making it hard for healers, all healers need to focus on keeping the Main Tank alive. Once called for, the raid must damage Ataraxis for the amount of damage of the rune., his health will not move, you must burn through this rune to send him into a weakened state (this is the only time he can truly be hurt).
Positioning
- Main Tanks: The chick specifically needs to be up against the wall of the main bigass pillar, but the chicken needs to be standing at the corner, with one foot in the wall. This would make it more likely that some of the spawns will spawn inside the pillar and thus will not have to be engaged (Since he can spawn up to 6 adds, this is important).
While the tank is positioning, they need to get in some very hard and hate creating attacks. The Healers will have to pop very large heals on the tank and you don't want the chicken to run off to attack them first thing.
Adds
- When Ataraxis goes into a weakened state he will spawn adds, these can be any of the other mobs from within the Pantheon (excluding named). the Number of the Adds is random between 2-4. The Psi and bard will mez these, locking them down, they will then call out a order for in which the second tank to build aggro and pull them. The Second tank waits until told which one to kill until engaging, Unless one goes directly after a healer, then you need to get it off the healer ASAP. Once the adds are taken care of, the MT on Ataraxis will move him over by the rift keeper, once in position by the black rift pillar a clicker will click the rift calling down the fury of the rift keeper which will damage the chicken 60% of its health.
Clicking the Rift
- to be able to click on the rift, you need to have around 17-19k faction with the other side (right around the time you get the quest for Vault access), so for example if you are killing Ataraxis you need to have gone order and have the proper faction. When clicking the rift.. you must wait till Ataraxis is in position, then Wait until the Tank has been rooted, once the tank is rooted, as soon as the Acid Rain AE goes off, you click the rift. If not timed properly the acid rain AE can screw up the click, bugging it and everything you've done to this part is hosed.
Note - After 50%, Ataraxis puts up a stance which will drain your mana if you hit into it. Stance Pushers Must Push him out of this stance as it can really fuck up your healers ability to keep the MT alive.
Round 2
- Once the rift has been clicked and Ataraxis has been fucked up, the MT will then drag him back to the original positioning. Once in position you now have to burn through the second Rune / Feed that is on the chicken. This is basically doing the same thing you have done already in round 1. When you have burned through the rune, Ataraxis will then spawn adds again (Same as before)
Adds part 2
- Same as before, Ataraxis spawns adds of any mob within the Pantheon (excluding named), If you get 2-3 adds and have a psi and bard your good to go, the psi and bard will lock down the adds, as soon as they are locked down the tank will then Move Ataraxis back to the Rift Keeper, Be sure timing is proper, click the rift and wait for Ataraxis to die. Psi and Bard keeping Adds locked down, distribute loot and get the fuck out.
*note for healers* — All healers must work on keeping the MT standing, with the healing debuff that Ataraxis puts on him this can be extremely hard to do.
* Thank you Souleye & Jakkal of Unleashed for adding a few things i missed and clearing up a couple others!*
