The dragon god, Patron of dark elves.
Epithets: "The Dragon", "The Father of Dragons".
Haelufir was the god of tyranny, ambition, and dragonkind. His symbol is a black dragon rampant upon a red field. Haelufir is the father of not only dragons, but also the dark elves. The purity of one's blood in dark elf society is perhaps the most important aspect of your person, differentiating slave from sovereign. Haelufir destroyed himself and divided his power into his dragon children long before the cataclysm when a number of the gods allied against him behind the god Moraj, the peacebringer, who sought to end his reign of tyranny once and for all. Since the gods can influence the affairs of mortals only very slightly, Moraj was unable to destroy his arch-enemy as he had effectively become mortal himself.
His name is sometimes misspelled as "Haelifur".

Quotes
Centurion Dalmarkus (dark elf), Hathor Zhi: "-the altar of Haelufir, a symbol of dark elf strength. The spirit of Haelufir serves to cleanse our race, protecting us from the feeble and weak: the impure. I will allow you to test the purity of your blood. You may die at the hands of Haelifur rather than my own. But do not think that you have validated your existence simply because Haelufir has spared you. Elves with far more strength and determination have died proving the worth of their blood to the queen. And although you should always wear the scars of Haelufir with pride, you may want to take these to cover the burns for now. The smell of your seared flesh is still ripe. You won't have a hard time convincing him that you have been touched by Haelufir."
Centurion Drahkma (dark elf), Hathor Zhi: "You've already shown that you have at least some of Haelufir's blood running in your veins. Now, we will test its potency! I have made a potion out of some of the venom and bile that you retrieved for me. You are to drink it: all of it. If the blood is strong in you, you will survive."
Centurion Zautyl (dark elf), Hathor Zhi: "Truly, the Father of Dragons would smile upon you. You have done a great service to him today."
Battlemaster Ha'trak (dark elf), Hathor Zhi: "You return. I am not surprised. You have the fire of Haelufir in your blood and the ferocity of Ghalnn in your eyes."
