just a reminder…search sight page broken
Search (clicked from the menu bar) is working fine?…
http://www.thetelonproject.com/search:normal works fine and its a nice looking page at first..
entered crafting in the search box, it did a successful search as you can see, but the appearance after was changed.
it seems its tied to the items search page but not listed (parented) as such.
( i am not authorized for this page = cant see site tools at bottom?)

Ahhh… I see the page you are trying to use.. ya,, dont. the standard "search" that normally comes with a wiki was turned into the items and equipment search which is linked on the front page and the menu bar. That page should not be linked to by anything currently. And yes, I have that page locked for admin edit only as should be the items & equipment search page(s). Due to this conversion if you click on the search in the menu bar or side table, you should be taken to this page: http://thetelonproject.wikidot.com/search-the-site
ok i have noscript, addblock+, do not track, https everywhere and WOT in waterfox 18. any of these could be blocking it from loading properly, noscript is the best at blocking a lot of content so if i cant see it - something aint .. kosher?
ok the items search isnt working for me and totally blank…. wonder if it is blocking it on my end
check out this link

copy and paste it to a new tab lol thats from your search page that doesnt work
Also you notice the two search windows on my page, they both work with waterfox. i understand you're prolly going to have to get some outside help building a nice custom search page and that its prolly on your todo list. Its prolly gonna use Forms style and Im not too familiar with that yet.
The items and equipment search is just a highly modified version of the wiki sites search engine
Waterfox is the 64 bit browser that FF dropped I dont have Opera installed, I wonder tho if that only works for 32 bit browsers. no matter what, the problem lies in the customization of it because the search link works for me, I just cant see it on that page.
parent.parent.$j('iframe.html-block-iframe[src$="/' + id + '"]').height(height + 'px');
this is a problem code i get from Firebug also when I highlight the section where the search box is supposed to be its within and iframe too. if you want i can paste the entire section to if you want to look it.
firebug is an awesome tool !
Alright, the Issue is definitely on your end.. I installed Waterfox today and all of the search(s) are displaying properly for me.. ?
Ok i finally tracked this problem down to which of the numerous add-ons I have installed. HTTPS Everywhere is the problem child here, which needs a work around via a custom ruleset which I have no clue to add one to it and will post it when I find out, eventually. In the meantime its DuckDuckGo for searching…
The site had 1,094,936 hits last month, not including spider bots, etc… And so far your the only that has complained about this, not to overly worried about changing the site search option. If you come up with something I may consider it, but will not promise that I will make any changes. :)
Update: This issue is fixed now for the Firefox/Waterfox add-on for HTTPS Everywhere. They made a permanent fix for it and both search pages (items search page and regular site google) works fine now.
I still prefer DuckDuckGo to Google.
