Quest Offering:
* Poet Liong says, "The Magistracy enacts the Emperor's wishes fairly, of course, but sometimes they make a decision that must be appealed."
* "One of my poems was taken from me recently. It, like many of the hokka poems, has a good deal of power within it. This one can manipulate the minds of others to encourage them to tell the truth. I can see how the Magistrates feel this is a useful tool to the, but the poem itself is of unnatural beauty."
* "Can you use your skill to get it back?"
Npc Dialogue
Haroji Jadedragon
* You speak in humble tones. "Magistrate. The Poet Liong asks for the return of her poem, Kites in Spring."
* Magistrate Jadedragon gazes at you with a mixture of amusement and annoyance. "Is the world so safe now that the likes of you are interfering with the scrolls of justice?"
* You say, "Not at all, Magistrate. A true diplomat deals in matters of small and large. Liong's plea carries great weight with me, as her poetry is highly regarded throughout Kojan."
* The Magistrate nods, saying, "Yes, I stand here oft times and hear her words. They uplift, and remind me that there is time for beauty amidst war."
* The Magistrate stares at you for a moment, and you feel a subtle headache behind your eyes.
* Before you can speak, the Magistrate says, "Recently, one of our Juritors, by name of Kyosh, committed a breach of trust in our institution of justice. He is to be executed."
* You nod, and say, "Much wisdom lies within the Magistracy."
* Haroji Jadedragon says, "However, the Juritor has resisted our powers of mind reading. He has information we require, and he withholds it from us. Thus, we acquired Poet Liong's poem to use on him and get this information."
* You ask, "It is not the poem itself you desire, but its power to get information, yes?"
* Haroji Jadedragon says, "Yes. I would gladly return the poem if she could produce another poem with the same ability."
* You say, "I believe she will do this. She values the beauty of the hokka, but not the power it grants. You value its power, and not its beauty."
* Haroji Jadedragon says, "Yes. While other Magistrates would not return something once acquired, I will do so, as I respect Liong and her works."
* You say, "Give me the original poem, and I will ensure she writes a replacement that has the same power."
* Magistrate Jadedragon says, "I have changed my opinion of you, < your name here >. Before, I thought you cared only for personal gain, but I see you will benefit others as well. Much peace upon your travels, for here is the poem you seek."
Quest Completion
* Liong says, "My most humble thanks. I will abide by your agreement to write another hokka that alters the mind but is of different beauty."
* [Continue]
* Liong adds, "I wonder about Magistrate Jadedragon. The other two magistrates I spoke with, Lotusfield and Windwalker, would not even listen. Jadedragon appears to have something els they did not. Compassion? Concern? I do not know."
* "As thanks, learn this poem, and prosper:
* A storm arising
* Cold fingers burrow fiercely
* Stone abides always."
* [Complete to receive rewards]
