Quest Description:
Secure the supplies from Sergeant Auhmurt and deliver them to the three "Beggars". Once you convince them to start out, visit the wreckage and collect some evidence to deliver to Dallaraz Xii in Pankor Zhi.
- Collect the Supplies from Sergeant Auhmurt
- Deliver Supplies to Beggar Abel
- Deliver Supplies to Beggar Jaineen
- Deliver Supplies to Beggar Kal
- Visit the Caravan Wreckage
- Deliver News of the Attack to Dallaraz Zii
- Ahgramun Evidence (0/1)
Walkthrough:
- You must Incite Karmala Metashta believing that "I am up to your challenge" in order to be offered this quest.
- Your first task is to Interview Sergeant Auhmurt about the "Burning Crimson Sands". He will give you 3 sets of Beggar's Armor.
- Note: Each set of armour has a weight of 15 so you may want to put them in your saddlebags. (No longer an issue, leaving here in the event weight restrictions are once again enabled.)
- You must then Convince Beggar Adel (east boardwalk), Beggar Jaineen (west boardwalk), and Beggar Kal (in the tunnel) about the "Burning Crimson Sands". Each will take one set of armor from you when you complete the parley.
- Once this is done, head toward the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat in The Temple of Dailuk. If you head south from the beacon, where the two roads converge back into a single path again at the signpost, leave the path on the west hand side and you will see the Caravan Wreckage (31217,-67320,2024). Go to the tent and search the Burned Bodies until you find the Ahgramun Evidence.
- Continue on to Pankor Zhi to complete the quest with Dallaraz Xii. As you enter Pankor Zhi, continue along the hallways until you reach the Hall of Crafting. From there, take the left hall and follow that until you reach him.

Quest Offering:
- "Simply put," Karmala says, "I already have much of the ambush set up. I need you to put the finishing touches on it and set it off."
- Karmala continues, "I need you to secure the supplies to attack for three beggars. We have already picked them out as spies for the anti-secession movement, so don't worry about any danger to them. Speak to Seargeant Auhmurt about their supplies, then hand them over. On your way to Pankor, visit the caravan's wreckage and take some 'evidence of Ahgram's involvement.'"
Npc Dialogue
Karmala Metashta
- "Times like these bring strange bedfellows. Khal must now seek an alliance with long held enemies. Are you up to the challenge?"
- "I am up to your challenge," you say.
- "Are you sure?" Karmala asks. "Have you ever dealt with the more sinister elements of Qalian politics?"
- "What exactly are you referring to?" you ask.
- "You no doubt have heard that Khal is soon to leave the Ahgramun Empire," she says.
- "I heard something to that effect," you say.
- "To remain in power for more than a week," she says, "we need to secure certain allies. A dark time will be coming."
- "And you wish to secure sinister allies who can help you in these dark times," you say.
- "Exactly," she says. "We need to bring Pankor Zhi onto our side of this conflict."
- "I don't suppose the dark elves would even care about this revolution," you say. "Why bring them in?"
- "So that Ahgram can't secure them as allies," she says. "This revolution has far-reaching implications for the entire continent, and Pankor Zhi will certainly be interested."
- "So what is the challenge you have then?" you ask. "Getting to Pankor Zhi and back alive?"
- Karmala laughs. "That is part of it, I guess. There is more though."
- "I have some experience with dark elves," you say. "I think I can be of use here. What do you need done?"
- "I need someone who can set up an attack on one of Pankor Zhi's convoys," Karmala says.
- "Wait, how will that secure their support for us?" you ask.
- "Whoever can set this up will make it look as though Ahgram initiated the attack," she says.
- "At which point I announce to them we are seceeding from Ahgram," you finish.
Sergeant Auhmurt
- "I was sent by Karmala Metashta," you say. "I am here to pick up some supplies."
- "Ah yes," Auhmurt says, "I know of what you speak. She sent you, eh?"
- "She did. Is there a problem with this?"
- "There is no problem," he says. "I will give you three suits of armor with weapons." He holds up one set with teh symbol of teh Port Authority.
- "Why are these marked with that symbol?" you ask. "I thought we wished the elves to believe Ahgram set this up."
- "We do," Auhmurt says, "but these scum that are going will not wear the colors of Ahgram. They are the Sultan's agents."
- "They wouldn't have agreed if they were going to make the Sultan look responsible," he continues.
- "But when I go back to collect evidence, I will find the marks of the Port Authority."
- "No," Auhmurt says. "These are specially created. Under heat, such as magical fire, they will transform to their true form. That of the Sultan's mark."
- "I see," you say. "What of teh beggars, though? They will come back and know the truth."
- "We highly doubt that," he says. "They have been made aware they nedd to complete this mission. It is complicated, but in the end, they will all die."
- "I see," you say, "and so will the elves."
- "If they do their job properly, yes," he says. "They will never know what they actually died for."
Beggar Adel
- You approach the beggar Adel. "I must speak with you."
- "What about?" he asks. "If you wish to rob me, you eill see I have nothing in this world."
- "Other than what the Overseer has given you," you say. "You have a job you must do."
- "That," he says, "is another matter."
- "I have the supplies you'll need to complete your mission," you say.
- He takes the armor and weapons from you.
- "These are a little weak," he says. "Are you sure they will hold up?"
- "They will," you say. "They have been infused with magic. They will allow you the most protection without sacrificing mobility."
- Adel slips his hand into one of the gloves. "I think these will do."
- "Then they are yours," you say. "You know what you must do now."
- "Yes," he says. "The encampment is just past the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat."
- "That's correct," you say. "Make it swift. They will probably leave soon."
- "I will," he says, nodding.
Beggar Jaineen
- "Jaineen," you say. "May I speak with you?"
- "You may, if you're quick," she says. "I'm waiting for someone."
- "That would probably be me," you say.
- "Ah," she says, nodding. "You have my gear then?"
- "I do," you say, holding up a set of the armor.
- "Will this be enough?" she asks, as she takes it from you.
- "It will be exactly what you need," you say. "It will allow mobility without sacrificing protection."
- She looks it over carefully. "How are the weapons?"
- "I have not tried them," you say, "but they will be fine. Sergeant Auhmurt assured me they would work perfectly."
- "Do you know the rest of your orders?" you ask.
- "I do," she says, "the caravan is camped just south of the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat, bear the crossroads."
- "That's right," you say. "Go quickly. They may not remain long."
- "Thank you, Simon," she says. "I will be swift."
Beggar Kal
- "Do you have any change you could spare?" Kal asks, as you approach.
- "I don't" you say, "but I could clothe you in something a little more fitting."
- He perks up. "So, you have brought my gear?"
- "Yes," you say. "And you will be able to keep it or sell it as you wish when you are done."
- "That's wonderful," he says, taking the suit of armor from you.
- "Do you know where you have to go?"
- "Yes," he asks. "I meet Jaineen and Adel at the Beacon of Hafeez Al'Azzimat."
- "Where do you go from there?" you ask, quizzing him.
- "South of there is the crossroads between Lomshir, Hathor Zhi, Ahgram and Khal. Just south of that signpost, off the road, they will be there."
- "Yes," you say. "Remember, they may be behind a hill over there. You will probably be able to see the caravan from the altar out there."
- "Alright," he says, donning the armor.
- "Be swift, Kal," you snap. "The others may already be waiting for you."
- "Alright, alright," he says, hopping into the leggings. "I'm going."
Dallaraz Xii
- "Administrator Xii," you say, bowing your head. "I have come with news."
- "Have you?" he says. "Is this news worth wasting my time and your breath?"
- "I believe it is." You hold out the evidence, the burned breastplate.
- "What is this?" he asks, taking it from you. "You bring me garbage?"
- "It is not refuse," you say. "It is a piece of armor from a burned out caravan. An elven caravan."
- "Really?" he asks, raising an eyebrow. "We have been awaiting word from a caravan that never showed up."
- "I was on my way here from Khal," you say, "with a message. I noticed the smoke from the road."
- "And out of the goodness of your heart, you decided to see if anyone needed help," he says.
- "No," you say. "I was searching for something to sell. Diplomatic work doesn't pay as well as it should."
- "Now there's a bit of honesty I wasn't expecting," he says. "What of ours did you steal?"
- "Nothing," you say. "Everything was burned. This is all I was able to scavenge. It's worthless to me."
- "And what was the message you were to bring me?" he says, looking at the Sultan's symbol.
- "That Khal is seceding from the Sultan's rule. We are declaring our independence. And," you say, "in light of recent events, severing all ties with them."
- "Now that is an interesting piece of information," he says. "Thank you for your message."
Quest Completion
- "I would like to be honest with you," he says. "You did not really think this little ruse would fool us, did you? We know who really set up the attack. Oh, don't go looking for spies. We've been doing this exact sort of thing for a long time now."
- "We can see through such lies with ease," he continues. "However, I will reward you for the valiant try. Take one of these facets. Maybe, with time, we'll be able to teach you something of true treachery."
- "I will take news of Khal's secession of the Queen. We do not blame you for the attack. In all truth, which is a rare commodity around here, we don't care. If they were killed by your people, they were too weak to truly be of Haelifur's blood anyways."
