"Nature magic is almost second nature to the Flordiel, and knowing how to combine various natural elements to produce an array of effects is rudimentary to them. More powerful items grant greater benefits."
"Some of these items are only found on the more powerful members and leaders of our enemies. Since having them destroyed would only benefit the Flordiel, I will make you a shawl if you defeat those leaders, and bring me the components I need for the enchantment."
Though this quest is marked as Group, you can do the entire quest with a partner.
The Shawl
The Gorgalok Linen Shawl drops off of various named Gorgalok monsters, such as Prishar, Saphson, etc. If you have a partner or small group, the best place to camp for the shawl is on top of the southern spire in the middle of Vsurog Moor. (Note that you should climb the spire from the ramp at -9757, 13239, 6869 - taking the bridge across from the other spire will not place you at the appropriate location.)
The Cleft Troopers see through invis, which is the only difficult part about breaking into the cave at the top of the spire. However, if you stay ahead of the patrol, you can make your way up the ramp without aggroing any monsters and can then pull the two troopers at the top into the cave to kill them without fear of adds.
Inside the cave are a number of four-dot Vindicators. Any of these vindicators can drop the shoulders. As a bonus, these mobs can also drop the Nihilistic Storm Particles. Fighting in the cave is extremely safe with wide open spaces. Occasionally, "nameds" will also spawn in place of the Vindicators and these nameds can also drop the shoulders.
This cave offers the best chance of getting the shoulders quickly, though it can still take a a few hours depending on your luck. However, you will have a chance to get the shoulders off of any kill here rather than wait for a leader like Prishar to spawn down below.
The Nihilistic Storm Particles
As mentioned above, the storm particles can drop off of the vindicators. They are relatively rare, but the easiness of the cave once you break into it means that you should be able to get all of the particles you need with only a few hours of camping.
If you're looking for easier mobs to kill for the particles, the three-dot "named" trees in Flordiel are another option. These trees line the main road (Treering, Ironroot, etc.) This will hurt your Flordiel faction, but you should have a lot of positive faction to burn from killing Gorgalok and Ichtakhta foes for the rest of the armor pieces.
Ichtakhta Chitin Fragment
This trophy can drop off of any Ichtakhta foe, including the easy two-dot mobs in the swamps below their city. If you have quarrying as one of your harvesting skills, you can also harvest the corpses of each Ichtakhta mob for another chance to get the chitin fragment.
Just keep killing and you will eventually get it. Killing mass numbers of two-dots in this case will be faster, as the harder mobs don't appear to drop the trophy more frequently than the easier ones.
Leech Barb
The Leech Barb drops off of Muckwater Maw, Glowing Muckwater Thrasher, Glowing Muckwater Spawn, and Glowing Muckwater Breeder in the Swamps of Rumug near the Lair of the Mnalus.
These creatures can be found in the water in the crevice that runs through the middle of the Lair of the Mnalus. You can either invis through the cave system or drop down from above. Note that you'll be kicked off your flying mount if you attempt to fly down into this canyon.
The Muckwater creatures are eels that swim in the water. They can be pulled onto land. There are a few that will swim right in the water. However, the Glowing versions of the Muckwater eels are located in an underwater cave system that you can enter from the pool of water (loc: 18915, -45060, 1200). If attempting to kill the Glowing versions, you may want some sort of underwater breathing.
Note that this is also the location for Spore Beasts, which are needed for the Fae Dust Hood. You will need to enter the underwater cave system to find additional sporebeasts to kill, as the two spawn points in this canyon were the only two three-dot sporebeasts that we could find. You may wish to get both the spore beast membrane and the leech barb at the same time.
Once you have all of the items, return to Telnia.
"Were you able to confront the leaders? What did you find in the city of the Gorgaloks?"
You found the leaders, defeated them, and located the components necessary for the enchantment. Well done."
"Here is your reward for your efforts. The more we can strike at the heart of our enemies, the faster we can take back what is rightfully ours."
